Ashley artist Bio 2024: Ashley Coote a Jamaican Fine arts, contemporary, and abstract artist. Step into a world where colors dance, shapes, whisper stories, and emotions come alive on canvas. I find solace in the silent dialogue between canvas and imagination. Each stroke is a whisper of emotion, a glimpse into the depths of my soul. Whether capturing the vivid hues of a sunset or the raw intensity of human emotion, art allows me to express the ineffable, to give form to the formless. Yet, amidst the quietude of the studio, there echoes the resounding call of duty. As a firefighter, I am a guardian of lives and livelihoods, charged with the solemn task of safeguarding my community. In the blaze of chaos, I find clarity, a sense of purpose that transcends the canvas. What many may see as disparate worlds, I see as complementary facets of my being. The discipline and precision demanded by firefighting infuse my art with structure and resilience, while the creative freedom of artistry imbues my firefighting with intuition and adaptability. In the crucible of creation and crisis, I have come to understand that life is not a binary of this or that, but a spectrum of infinite possibilities. Through the blending of art and profession, I have found balance – a delicate equilibrium where passion and duty coalesce, where the brush and the hose become extensions of the same hand. 2016 Art Exhibit: [Unleash Your Creativity]
In 2016, I hosted my debut solo exhibition, [Unleash your creativity ], at [Solita & Massimo Delray]. This exhibit was a pivotal moment my tart career, showcasing a cohesive body of work that delved into all facets of my personality. The exhibition featured 20 pieces, and it received positive attention from local art critics and the community. The success of this exhibit established My journey.
2017 Art Exhibit: [Creativity Takes Courage]
Building on the success of my first exhibit, I presented My second major solo exhibition, [Creativity Takes Courage], in 2017 at [Avant Delray]. This exhibit marked a significant evolution in My artistic journey, featuring a more sophisticated exploration of pieces Incorporating new mediums such as oil paint, water color and Spray paint. The exhibit attracted a broader audience and included interactive elements like music and dance, Solidifying my talents on the Art scene.
Solo Mixed Art Style Exhibit 2023: [Rebirth]
In 2023, I hosted a groundbreaking solo exhibition titled [Rebirth ]. This exhibit showcased my ability to master and blend multiple art styles, creating a rich and varied visual experience.
Theme and Concept:
[Rebirth ] was a celebration of diversity in artistic expression, reflecting my new role as a Firefighter/Paramedic. I stepped away from Art to pursue my career, and my art reflected my life journey til that point, hence the title Rebirth, the beginning of a new journey , I had a story to tell with my art.

Featured Artist : Teeka Ellis
Teeka Ellis is a self taught artist, born in Kingston, Jamaica. She has always been passionate about portraits and being able to portray a story behind a face. Primarily, her work illustrates more of an Afro-Caribbean style with a contemporary and sometimes abstract flare.
She utilizes a vast amount of colors to create mixed moods of vibrancy with an undertone of melancholy. Teeka’s paintings depict her interpretation of faces through an impressionistic lens, as her selection of colors accentuates the depth and natural flow of her work.
Teeka has sold her paintings internationally and it’s her life’s ambition to be recognized amongst Jamaica’s best Fine Artist’s.
